Anneliese Dodds MP recently spoke to the Europaeum Scholars Programme in central

Oxford about her experience of tackling social injustices in both the European Parliament

and in the House of Commons.

The programme is a scholarship for students from leading European universities, including

Oxford University.

Founded in 1992, the Europaeum Scholars Programme is designed to help students

understand and engage with the issues facing the future of Europe.

Speaking after the engagement, Anneliese Dodds said:

“Whatever our exact relationship with Europe is in future, it is vital that we maintain bonds

of friendship, solidarity, and close cooperation.

“Europe, including Britain, will need to work together to tackle common challenges, from

combating climate change to clamping down on tax avoidance.

“That is why programmes like the Europaeum Scholars Programme are important: They

bring together students from across Europe to consider, understand, and come to collective

solutions to the major issues facing Europe.”
